Stiff legs? Tired back? Too many hours sitting? Do you want the leg muscles (and booty) of a sprinter?

We have the perfect remedy! Every Sunday evening, April through October, we will be developing our strength and speed through a gradual and gentle progression of mobility and strength training, leading into an end result of confident strides and sprints at a pace that accommodates your capability.

This is a cost-free judgment-free inclusive event centered around self-improvement and connection with others. Any and all attendees are required to fill out the jot form waiver located here:

WHAT TO EXPECT

Every Sunday we will begin our training session with a gradual and thorough warmup, being keenly cautious to be gentle on the joints and tendons through high knees, active ROM stretches, torso twists, etc...
After a 30 minute warmup protocol, we will participate in 100 yard "sprints" keeping track of personal time, and aiming to beat your previous time with each set. This incentivizes you to start slow and build into it with as many sets as you like. We recommend 3+ sets for seeing consistent progress through the weeks, and can begin with something simple like a gentle speed walk.

-- PARKING INSTRUCTIONS --
Make sure and parallel park along the street named "Lakeview Terrace" facing Winter Lake Drive to the South. We will be occupying this area of the Park behind the soccer fields. Additional parking can be found at the dog park at Summer Lake Park.

WHAT TO BRING

- Jogging shorts and sun-tanning conscious sportswear
- Sunblock lotions/ sprays
- 1+ Liter water bottle (MANDATORY)
- A desire to see progress
- Patience for yourself

WHAT NOT TO BRING

- music, speakers, headphones, etc... This event is for connection and camaraderie as we all work to improve toward our goals! Focus, encourage, include, and communicate!
